Vivienne Houghton was inspired to create this website after reading The Read-Aloud Handbook by Jim Trelease. She wanted to do her part to promote reading aloud to children, help break the cycle of illiteracy and poverty, and help develop lifetime readers.  

Vivienne is an Early Childhood Librarianship Fellow in the University of Denver's Master's in Library and Information Science Program. She will graduate in June 2012.
